1) Pretty good form factor. It's got a nice clip and feels good in the hand, plus it's extremely convenient to use as a USB drive.
2) The mic works well and if you leave it in record mode all the time it's actually quick enough on the uptake to use for voice notes.
3) Here's my favorite: TEMPO adjustment that actually does what it's supposed to do! In other words, no squeaky hamster voice, just faster speed. Makes this a no-brainer for audiobooks and podcasts.
4) Another MAJOR plus for audiobook listening: it keeps your spot even after you switch off the device, and it even keeps a separate spot for voice recordings

Here are the cons:

1) Menus are a little slow and each mode needs a few seconds to initialize, so it's hard to do more than one thing at a time with it.
2) FM tuner seems to work fine but the implementation isn't so great; the auto-seek function only goes in one direction, so if you miss your station you've got to go through them all again.
3) No real way to sort playlists; it just goes according to the file creation time-stamp.
4) No way to seek except for a rather inefficient fast-forward/rewind function, and you can't fast-rewind into the end of the previous track like some players allow. This is especially annoying with very long audio files.

This device has really grown on me after a while. For saving my spot in an mp3 and allowing tempo-adjustment alone I would really like to give it a 3.5; it's also incredibly cheap.

And here's an added tip: you don't really need to use the on/off switch on the side, except perhaps to do a "hard reboot" or if you know you won't be using it for a while. If you instead hold the center button down for a few seconds to turn it on/off and leave the switch set to "on", it will keep you in the sub-menu where you left off and make the device much quicker to use. As far as I've seen in my several months of daily usage, this doesn't drain the battery to any notable extent, because it is essentially still powered down. Alternatively, you can simply pause your track and let the device switch itself off within 30 seconds and not even have to bother holding down the center button.
