the manual was not much help and it was about 2 weeks until I discovered a whole other menu by sliding my finger tothe side on the home menu. from there you can adjust settings and such.

I had a Sandisk Sansa e250 before and it was all fine until the sound gave out.

the Archos has a really nice layout and is bright and easy to read, totally not grainy like outdated electronics.
it was easy to make up to 5 playlists under "favorites", as opposed to one or none on other players.
it's a really nice looking player with a great display.
camera is just for fun though- pictures were small and grainy, but hey. it's easy to snap a picture and set it as your background on it.

sadly, it didn't last too long as I dropped one of my sneakers on it and the screen pulverized. I didn't imagine anything of the sort happening after my extremely durable Sansa. very disappointing and a waste of $100 for a player that I only got to enjoy for a month, after that accident.
I'm afraid to buy other touch screens now for fear of the same thing happening.
far too fragile, which is a shame.
